Safety 安全
The course is rocky, uneven and steep in places. Take great care at all times and look out for your own and other hiker’s safety and well-being. Ensure that you will have enough to eat and drink to reach your finish point. Be particularly careful to drink enough and carry enough fluid. It is vital for your safety that you maintain adequate levels of hydration. We highly recommend that you carry a water filter to access water in an emergency.

Mobile Phone Coverage 手提電話覆蓋情況
Although there is mobile phone coverage over most of the course, there are some areas where coverage is either non-existent or intermittent.

- GPS watch(es) - Ensure there is enough battery life to last the whole distance
- Headlamp/torch (with spare batteries) (at least 2 sets)

- Emergency space blanket or equivalent
- Capacity to carry sufficient water (water bladder or water bottles)

- Ziploc bag for your personal rubbish
- Bib
- Anti-chafing cream

On The Trail Reminders 進行户外運動提示
- Be considerate of other trail and road users at all times.
- Take great care when crossing or running on roads.
- If another trail user is injured or in distress please assist.
- Ensure adequate food and drink at all times and adequate warm and waterproof clothing. It is strongly advisable to bring along a water filter in case of emergency.
- Please no littering, short cuts, damage to flora or fauna, or use of any transport other than your own 2 feet.
- Have fun!

When planning the timing of your Flex, please factor in the tide and avoid leaving Tai Tan (about 36km in) when the tide is over 2m on these charts. Or be prepared to wade through knee deep sea water!

Liability and Insurance 責任和保險
Each registrant is responsible for his / her own health and safety and also the GPS / tracking system.
We recommend that you and your support crew have your own personal accident cover.
This is not an official competition or trial, it is an individual activity. Consequently, all registrants participate under their own responsibility. Each registrant acknowledge that he is responsible for himself and members of his support crew. Running / hiking requires good training and all registrants declare that they are healthy and fit enough to do so. By subscribing, you expressly agree that the activity is undertaken under your own responsibility. You expressly agree to release the organization from any and all liability in connection with your athletic activities and you also agree that in no event shall the organization be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with Hong Kong 100 Flex.

All complaints must be made in writing within 2 days of completion of the course. Any decision is final and without appeal.

Force Majeure 不可抗力
Force majeure i.e. due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the organiser and which renders it impossible, unsafe or impractical to hold the event. A force majeure event shall include, but is not limited to, act of God, war, hostilities, invasion, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, riot, protests, commotion, government, military or police action or instruction, strikes, go-slows, lock outs, blockage or disorder, blocked or inaccessible roads or trails, outbreak of disease, acts or threats of terrorism. In such event no refund of the registration fee will be provided.
不可抗力,即發生超出主辦單位所能控制的事件和令舉辦比賽成為不可能,不安全或不切實際的情況。 不可抗力事件包括但不限於天災、戰爭、敵對行為、侵略、叛亂、革命、起義、暴動、示威、騷亂、政府,軍事或警察的行動或指示、罷工、怠工、禁工、阻塞或動亂、堵塞或不能通過道路或山徑、疾病的爆發以及恐怖主義行為和威脅。 登記費將不會在此等情況下作退還。
